What is manual lymphatic drainage?
Manual lymphatic drainage is a massage that aims to drain fluids from the tissues towards the lymph nodes. Regular massages support the functioning of lymphatic vessels. In our hotel, MDL is performed using the German method, according to Michael Földi and Roman Ströβementker.
It is intended for people:
- after radiotherapy,
- after mastectomy (lymphadenectomy),
- after removal of lymph nodes or lymphatic vessels,
- after surgery that resulted in damage to lymphatic vessels,
- after post-inflammatory and post-traumatic changes,
- in diseases of the venous system,
- after surgery on superficial and deep veins,
- having primary lymphedema.
